Shengyang is responsible for evaluating life science and biotechnology innovations.
Shengyang has extensive research and professional experience with X-ray crystallography, cryo-electron microscopy, and protein engineering. He is the author of 8 structures deposited in the Protein Data Bank. He has published in high impact international journals such as the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences USA and Acta Crystallographica Section D.
He was awarded the CN Yang Scholarship to support his undergraduate study. Upon graduation, he was awarded the Lee Kuan Yew Gold Medal for the best academic performance of the school.
With keen interest in consulting and finance, Shengyang is also pursuing the CFA certification.
Shengyang is bilingual in English and Mandarin Chinese.
He obtained his PhD in Structural Biology and BSc in Biological Sciences (First Class Honours) from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
