Nao Yoshizawa is an Attorney-at-law and Patent Attorney. Currently he is an active member of Bioeconomy Strategy Council in the Cabinet Secretariat of the government of Japan.
Yoshizawa-san also holds numerous qualifications in the fields of IT engineers and Information Security, enabling him to advise the digital health and bio-life science industries on such matters. He has published numerous papers and held lectures in business laws, informatic security strategies, and Digital Health Innovations.
He is an angel investor in high-performance computing and data based in-vitro diagnostic equipment, medical devices, and genomic DB services. He also supports the Alchemist Accelerator in Silicon Valley as a mentor.
Previously, he was an attorney at Asahi Nishimura, a major Japanese law firm, and now runs his own practice. His experience focused on corporate transactions including M&A, JV in the digital industry, as well as VC investments and start up supports in biotechnology and medical industry.
His strong passion to build the biotech ecosystem in Japan – by connecting European, American, and Asian countries – makes him an invaluable contributor to the team at Ginward.
He is a native Japanese speaker and has good command of English.
He graduated from Hitotsubashi University, School of Law and completed his law training from The Legal Training and Research Institute of the Supreme Courts of Japan.
