Jaap Wieling contributes over 25 years of experience as an executive and entrepreneur in pharmaceutical research and development.
Japp is the CEO of BiOraliX, a company developing a proprietary formulation technology enabling the oral delivery of biopharmaceutical therapies with superior bioavailability. He also serves as the CSO of BiosanaPharma.
Previously, Jaap has held senior roles in companies active in the field of drug development and bioanalyses: he was Senior VP in Bioanalysis & Technology R&D at QPS; MD of Xendo Drug Development group for 11 years focused on Phase I-III clinical research, bioanalysis and drug metabolism; Manager in Analytical Research at Pharma Bio-Research (PRA Intl.); Manager QC of Bio-intermediair (DSM Biologics); and Research scientist at TNO.
Jaap holds various board and advisory positions in start-up biotech companies and pharmaceutical services industries. Jaap has been a University teacher throughout his career and he serves as an expert volunteer for non-profit organizations.
He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics and Science from the University of Groningen

And a BSc. in Analytical Chemistry from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, Groningen
