Edward is the Managing Director of Ginward’s activities and the co-founder of Gold Nest Private Capital.
He serves on the Board of Mimetas B.V., Dynamic Biosensors GmbH and BiosanaPharma B.V. and is an International Advisor to the Taiwan Angel Club.
He is bilingual in English and French, fluent in German and has some knowledge of Japanese. He has lived and worked in Paris, London, Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.
Prior to creating Ginward in 2012, Edward’s 18-year career with Credit Lyonnais/Credit Agricole Group led him to the global position of Deputy-Head of Fixed Income Capital Markets, responsible for over 1000 front office professionals and a budget of over € 1Bn.
Edward opened new commercial activities, built teams and transformed business units in Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He was also a member of the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole Russbank and a permanent member of the Group International Committee, which oversaw the global international strategy of the bank.
In 1992, he worked as a scientific researcher in speech processing at ATR Laboratories in Nara, Japan, culminating in a paper on speaker-independent speech recognition using Markov Networks.
He has published several technical publications and has participated in numerous conferences around the world. Edward was a Keynote Speaker at the Dutch Life Science Conference in Leiden 2018, a speaker and panel member at the International Conference on Green Trade in Taipei 2015, and chaired the Euromoney conference on Derivatives in Beijing, China, in March 2011.
In 1991, Edward received his MEng in Electronic Engineering with Distinction from Southampton University in the U.K., with a year spent at the University of Karlsruhe TH in Germany. In 1993, Edward received his MSc in Signal Processing from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications in Paris.
