Bert has more than 30 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
Most recently, Bert served as the Chairman of Executive Board and CEO of STADA Arzneimittel Aktiengesellschaft.
He currently holds non-executive roles as the Chairman of the Advisory Board at Allecra Therapeutics GmbH and Lipid Therapeutics GmbH, and as the Chairman of the Board at BiosanaPharma B.V.
Prior to 2012, Bert spent 18 years at Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH, where he last served as a member of the Board of Managing Directors in charge of the Corporate Board Division Marketing and Sales in human pharmaceuticals. He was responsible for the business area Prescription Medicine and Consumer Health Care and held various other senior positions as the Country Manager of Mexico, Head of Marketing & Sales Canada, Regional Manager for North America, Head of Corporate Health Economics and Medical Director of The Netherlands.
Bert holds a degree in Medicine from the Erasmus University Rotterdam School of Medicine and is a member of the Royal College of Pharmaceutical Industry Physicians.
